Sustainable Development Goal #4
Through our project Speak Up!, we strive to uphold SDG #4 to provide quality education, ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all youths through workshops, camps, competitions and other various ways to engage the community and to leave a positive impact to the society for a better future!
WHY SPEAK UP?
A MOVEMENT
According to statistics, Malaysian secondary school students have a poor command of English & lack good communication abilities.
However, one of the most highlighted importance of raising quality of education by the general public is communication skills among secondary students.
Thus in accordance to the 4th Global Goal, (Quality Education), this project is created to specifically target the English proficiency level of Malaysian secondary school students.

OBJECTIVE
To empower underprivileged students in Malaysia by developing their English proficiency and enhancing their personal development to have a better future
KEY ACTIVITIES
-Empowering youths-
WORKSHOPS
You will get the opportunity to educate and guide youths to improve their confidence level; to be able to speak up and also to increase their English proficiency through one week of workshop comprising of fun-filled activities.
GLOBAL VILLAGE
Aiming to immerse participants in the diversity of our culture, we are hosting an exhibition to showcase and expose participants to cultures from all around the globe!
TEACH THE TRAINERS
In this session, we aim to equip participants with skills and techniques essential to deliver information and guide others effectively! Through this session filled with sharing sessions, games and discussion, participants would surely experience teaching at their best!
CITY TOUR
Malaysia is a country with various and countless attractions so we are bringing all the participants on a tour around the heart of Malaysia; Kuala Lumpur city!
CULTURAL VISIT
With our participants' experience in mind, we will also focus on exposing and immersing them in Malaysia's one-of-a-kind, unique cultures! So, participants will be brought to visit cultural locations around the city of Kuala Lumpur!
COMMUNITY SERVICE
Participants will also experience doing community work at an orphanage to host some fun activities and games aimed at bringing joy to kids and also to increase their self-confidence level!
ENGLISH CAMP
This activity aims to further the efforts from workshops where all students will be having a one day camp comprising of games, talks, activities where they will be brought out of their comfort zone to improve their confidence level to SPEAK UP!
IMPACT SHOWCASE
To see the impact from our workshops, participants will be hosting a competition where we can see the outcome of this project; English Camp and the workshops held by the participants!
